Introduction:

Magnesite carbon brick is a refractory product made of magnesite and graphite as main raw materials. Magnesium oxide and carbon are its main components, and they have high fire resistance. MgO and C are not eutectic and do not form low melting point substances. The thermal conductivity of graphite makes the magnesite carbon brick have good thermal shock resistance. The non-wetting effect of graphite on molten steel and slag can prevent the slag from penetrating, and the anti-flaking and slag resistance are better. However, magnesite carbon bricks are easily oxidized by heating in air, and can be improved by adding antioxidants. Generally magnesite carbon bricks are non-fired products, and the production process is same as other non-fired refractory products. The heat treatment is generally carried out at 150-200 ° C for a period of not less than 32 h.
