Magnesite brick
Introduction:
Magnesite brick is the most important product in alkaline refractory materials. It has high refractoriness and good corrosion resistance to iron oxide, alkaline slag and high calcium flux. Therefore, it is used in metallurgical kiln usually. Magnesite bricks are classified into two types: burnt magnesite bricks and non-burn magnesite bricks. The firing process of the magnesite brick is same as that of other refractory bricks, but the firing temperature of the magnesite brick is higher than that of others, generally 1550 to 1600°C. The firing temperature of high-purity magnesite bricks is 1750°C or even higher. The production process of the non-burned magnesite brick is almost same as that of the burnt magnesite brick, except firing process.
Advantages:
Strong anti-alkaline, high thermal conductivity, high refractoriness up to 2000 °C,start temperature of refractoriness under load for high-purity magnesia brick up to 1800 °C
Application:
Open-hearth furnace, converter, RH vacuum processing furnace, tunnel kiln
